This busy life

Just another day at the office...

She didn't want to work!!

Valentine's Day

I was reminded the other day in an email that I need to post something new, so here it is.

Life is insanely busy and wonderful!! Drew, Skyler and Maelie are wonderful and keep us on our toes.

Drew just finished basketball and after several heart-breaking games, he finally made 2 baskets at his last game. He is super smart and loves to read and watch any TV show that is about science, nature, exploring or technology. He is constantly quoting facts on things he read or saw on something. He is such a good boy!

Skyler is still dancing and she says it is her "love in life". She is a terrific dancer and we love watching her get better and better. She is reading so well and is already looking forward to 2nd grade...in 6 months! She is an amazing sister to Maelie and is a huge helper. If I ever ask for her help, she says "I would love to!".

Maelie is already almost 5 months old! She is such a blessing to our family and has truly completed us. She sleeps about 9 hours a night...straight through, so me and John love that! She is so happy and loves to watch every move Drew and Skyler make. She is still coming to work with me, which I really love and my Mom is also helping a couple of days a week with her.

John and I are working different hours in order to keep the kids out of daycare, so that has been a challenge, but worth it. After many long days, my work is finally going really great. The office is completely set up and running pretty smooth. I absolutely love the people I work with and around and wouldn't change anything. So, life is good!

Welcome Maelie

Maelie was born October 4 at 4 pm weighing 7 pounds, 18 inches long. She was born very, very fast after being in labor for about 10 hours, which is a long story. My OB doctor didn't even make it! She is perfect in every way and we feel so blessed she is part of our family forever. I have enjoyed these past 2 weeks and I am sad I have to go back to work Monday, but Maelie is coming with me which makes it easier. Drew and Skyler absolutely love her and help out so much.
Thank you for all your gifts, cards, phone calls, visits, meals, support and love. We love you all!

Counting down the days...and more.

We have had a completely insane few weeks. I thought I better blog something as it will probably be my last for quite a while!
So as you can tell, I am ready to pop. I am hoping this baby is ready any day here. On top of being this pregnant I am now officially the Office Manager for Dr. Johnson and his new physician partner, Dr. Porter. I have been working like mad for the past month and I am looking very forward to taking a couple of weeks off work.
Also, John's Dad passed away on September 2 and we went to Oregon for his funeral. Although it was very sad and difficult for John, we were able to do some fun things while we were there. My Aunt and Uncle live in Portland, so we spent one night at their house which was so great to be able to spend some time with them.

This was at Charlie's funeral. It was so amazing to see such a patriotic service.

This was at Silver Falls in Oregon. Skyler was obviously having attitude about something! I love it here. I haven't been since John brought me here about 17 years ago. It was pretty cool going back as a family this time. We ended up hiking about 4 miles which seemed fine at the time, but I paid for it for a week!
I will try and post after the baby is born, but chances are better that you'll find something on our Facebook, so look there. Love you all!

Summer is here!?

I have not blogged anything for that long!? Where does the time go?!?! I guess FB has replaced my blogging, although I still read everyones blog.
I had to put Skyler's Kindergarten Graduation pic on here since it is just so dang cute and marks the beginning of the Summer break, which has been so much fun already. We have done alot even though they have only been out of school one month. It has been nice to work three days a week which allows us to do so much more together.
John, Drew and I did a 5K which was fun to do together. I am not running as fast or as much now that I am 23 weeks along, but I am still running. We found out a month ago that we are having a GIRL. We can't wait...less than four months to go. YAY!!

Grandma's visit

John's Grandma Leder is in Utah visiting and we were able to have her, along with some of John's other family, over tonight for dinner. I just love his family and I am so blessed to be a part of it also!
Well, I wasn't really planning on telling everyone just yet but you know kids...they can't keep secrets and they told everyone as soon as they arrived tonight that we are having a baby.
YES, I am PREGNANT! So, there you have it. After a very, very long summer and moving into fall, we will have our third. We are so happy and Skyler is already asking several times a day, "when is the baby going to be here?"

Christmas

I am a little behind posting Christmas pictures, but here they are!! We had a great Christmas. I enjoyed having a week off work with the kids and just hanging out with them during Christmas break. We were at the theatre so many times over that two weeks I think they were ready to give us jobs. Christmas is my favorite holiday and I loved focusing on family time and making memories that will always last, even after they have forgot what they got or didn't get for Christmas. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We love you!

It IS the most wonderful time of the year

Skyler had her Kindergarten program tonight and it was so cute! She is such a performer and did a terrifict job!!

Skyler also had her dance recital this week. She LOVES to dance and is a natural...not a gift from me obviously.

She asked me after I took the picture if she "hit the pose" right, how cute right??

Ok, this is sooo cool! This SAME santa came to my house when I was little. When we opened the door and he stood up I could hardly believe it! When I told him who my Mom and Dad are he knew right who I was. He told Drew that he looks just like his uncle Andy and Drew was blown away that Santa really knew us.

This is such a busy time of year! Time has really gone by too fast this month and I have not even sent anyone a card, so please forgive me. I hope everyone knows how much we love you and appreciate everyone. Merry Christmas!!
