Vegas...again!

Okay...so we just got back from Vegas tonight and I had to get these pictures and our story on here before I forget any details. Just a warning.....this is THE LONGEST STORY EVER! Anyhow, we went down for my brother, Parley and his new wife, Andriya's wedding and we figured since we were going down to make a little vacation with the kids out of it. We had a wonderful and very interesting time. It is definitely different when you take kids to Vegas and we quickly realized there are sooo many things they were going to see that you just won't see in good old Utah. We decided it would be best to "warn" them of some of the things they may see and to make sure they know that just because we don't believe these things are okay, they happen here. So the first night Drew made sure to tell me over and over again "Mom, I still haven't seen a girl naked". I had to remind him he didn't have to keep looking out for one. Skyler also pointed out at our hotel "I saw the girl (waitress in the casino) wearing the thing that covers her boobs and the thing that goes up her butt". Over all they weren't exposed to anything they haven't already seen I guess. We stayed at the South Point which is on the strip but way south and away from the madness. The kids loved seeing the fountains at Belagio, the Eiffel Tower at the Paris, Caesars Palace, New York New York, M & M World, Coke a Cola World, and Stratosphere Tower. We also went to my favorite restaurant in Vegas, Hash House a Go Go (thanks to my Aunt Ann and Uncle Norm!). So then the day of the wedding... O my! This is already so long, so I will try to make it short. I have NEVER in my life had a day that was so crazy with bad luck! So to begin the day, my Mom realized she forgot her dress for the wedding. Then the whole power in the casino went off JUST as we were getting off the elevators on the 16th floor the kids were crying and I was even scared. It was pitch black! So that freaked us out for a while. Me and John had decided to rent a limo for everyone to ride to and from the wedding since traffic is insane there, that was the only thing that went right! It was awesome and everyone had a great time together. Parley had told Mom the wedding was at the Wynn so that's where the limo driver took us. We quickly found out he was about half a mile off. So all 10 of us in a scramble split up to catch cabs to try and find the correct place. We could not find it! So we had the jerk taxi driver just drop us off so we could walk and find it the taxi driver told John to "F" off because he only got a .50 cent tip. We finally figured out the address and found it and called Mom to tell her where we were (she had all the little kids in her taxi). They get out of the taxi and Skyler is bawling! She was so terrified from all the confusion and complete madness, she was just crying "Mommy I didn't think I was going to find you!" So we all get into this place which by the way, when you have in your mind "The Wynn" and it turns out to be a total dump that smells like oriental people, your kinda let down, especially after all we had been through just to find the freaking place. THEN Mom realizes she left her purse in the taxi!! They had ALL their money and credit cards in it. We immediately started calling places and reporting it, but 2 days later no word, so I am sure some very bad person found it in the cab when they got in and kept it. The people who married them kept saying Andriya's name wrong and I am pretty sure the guy had drank way too much. BUT Parley looked so very handsome and they are now married which was what we went for after all. Andriya is so cute and I am so happy she is part of our family now. No problems after that and all in all it was a most memorable trip. Drew and Skyler had a ball and so did John and I.
